Application

St. Paul’s offers three terms per year when you can start or continue your studies with us. You can use this form to apply for our spring 2024 (January 14 – May 19), summer 2024 (June 2 – August 4), and fall 2024 (August 18 – December 22) terms. Learn more.

Saint Paul’s House of Formation was designed to equip Christian leaders actively serving the church in whatever way God has called them.  Whether you’re lay or ordained, employed or volunteering, or still discerning where you fit best, all are welcome.

We think that learning is best done in community. Cohorts are groups of 3-12 students who together commit to serious engagement with the weekly lectures, consistent attendance and participation in group discussions, timely completion of all assignments, and growing in relationship with and prayer for one another. Cohorts can meet either in person or online.

Cohort learning begins three times per year: in the fall, spring, and summer terms. Check our calendar for when our upcoming terms start and get your application in.

Courses are taught at a college-level, and a general Bible-familiarity is presumed, but prior theological training is not required. At the same time, those who have done other coursework may still find SPHF a helpful addition to their prior training.

The time commitment should be about 2-4 hours per week.  There is a 40-60 minute lecture and an hour-long cohort meeting every week, an exam and webinar for each of the 5 sections, and some occasional readings.

The St. Paul’s House Core Curriculum is a four-semester course that costs $300 per semester. You may also apply for needs-based financial assistance at the end of this form.

Yes! The four semester core curriculum is only the beginning. Sign up for our newsletter for updates on our future courses and how to experience them.

Absolutely! St. Paul’s is a curriculum rooted in the universal (sometimes called ‘catholic’) tradition of Christian worship, which is the family heritage of all Christian traditions. Whatever denomination you’re in, you’re going to recognize the distinctives of your own tradition. We teach from our Anglican perspective, but our eye is on the fullness of the Faith.
